Meet the Artist

Christine Molenhouse is the founder and sole artist of Haven Artistry, Murals & Decorative Painting. Christine began her career in the arts as an art teacher, teaching at the junior high school level for 9 years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education at Northern Illinois University and then earned her Master of Arts in Education Teaching and Leadership through Saint Xavier University in 2000. While she thoroughly enjoyed teaching art, she also became interested in the decorative arts. What began as creating finishes and hand painted details within her own home, her love of the decorative finishes and murals quickly became a passion. In 2004, Christine established Haven Artistry as the sole artist/owner. Studying decorative arts in Louisville, Kentucky at the Faux Finish School under industry leader, Martin Alan Hirsch, Christine gained invaluable training and knowledge of decorative painting. Whether designing murals, developing a new finish or creating custom artwork for her clients, Christine enjoys all aspects of the creative process.
