"I wish I could do that!" I heared this all the time when painting murals and canvas pieces for clients. The truth is... I know you CAN do it, and want you to get in on the painting fun! Whether you want a private party for your family and friends in your home or want to organize a paint party at your church or place of business, Haven Artistry brings the paint party to you! Paint parties are not only a great way to explore your creative side but are also a great way to carve some time out of your busy schedules and make some memories! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
At your paint party, you will enjoy step by step painting instruction with artist, Chris Molenhouse, as she demonstrates and leads you through an acrylic painting from start to finish. No experience is necessary and you will get individual assistance whenever needed. You provide the tables and seating for your group and we provide table coverings, easels, canvas, brushes, paint and aprons to protect your clothing. We are currently equipped for 12 painters but may be able to accommodate more painters with advance notice. How it works: 1) Choose your painting... Your group may choose from our current painting offerings shown to the right or have your own created based on what you would like to paint. While we are building up our portfolio of paint party offerings, from now through April 31st, there is no additional charge for custom paintings created for groups of 8 or more, with at least two weeks advance notice. We would love to know what YOU want to paint, and our artist will work with you to design a painting to suit your interests. 2) Schedule your date... Contact us to check on dates available for your painting group. We currently offer private paint parties: Wednesday [evenings -limited availability] Thursday [day/evenings] Friday [day / evening] Saturday [day/evening] Sunday [afternoon] A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to schedule your party. Your party is considered booked once the deposit is received. Please note a minimum of 8 people are required to schedule a Friday or Saturday evening, all other days/nights must have a 6 person guarantee. Do you have a special consideration and have a smaller group, please contact us to see if we are able to accommodate your needs. Groups larger than 12 may be possible if scheduled well in advance. Final balance on the total amount of people will be collected the day of the party. Hosts of parties with 10 people or more paint for free. 3) Before your guests arrive: Our instructor can speak with you regarding questions you may have on preparing your space. You want to be able to seat your group comfortably and have an area your instructor can teach where everyone can see. All tables and chairs should be arranged before your instructor arrives. Your instructor will need to be onsite 1 to 1 1/2 hours prior to your party starting to set up all of the equipment. She will need access to a sink for water and a place for paints and equipment. 4) Things helpful to consider when planning your party... While we don't provide any food/beverages, we do recomend considering having them available as our adult parties are at least 3 hours in length. Many people enjoy bringing and sharing their favorite appetizers or a bottle of wine or beverage to enjoy while they paint - it is a party afterall... Have your party guests arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the painting time in order to get settled and ready to paint. While your guests will be provided with an apron, they may want to dress appropriately and acrylic paint can stain. 5) During your party: Your instructor will begin promptly at the start of your party to give step by step demonstration of the featured acrylic painting. She will also provide you with assistance whenever needed as you work. All experience levels are welcome! Experienced painters are encouraged to add their own creativity if comfortable and beginners will never be left behind. Our instructor will stay until everyone is satisfied. By the end of the party, not only will each painter have created a masterpiece all their own, but also have created some wonderful memories as well. 6) The party's over? Once the paintings are complete and you take your fun pictures... your instructor will stay to clean up the tables and equipment. While we take full responsibility for the clean up, we ask you to make a little room to allow the instructor to work. We want to be able to leave your space the way it was in a timely manner. 7) The day after... We hope your new masterpiece will hang prominently in your home and it puts a smile on your face. We also hope you and your guests enjoy your party experience so much you'll want to do it again, and refer us to all your friends. Ready to schedule? All checks should be made out to the instructor, Christine Molenhouse. Arrangements for payment will be set up through contact with the instructor (address will be given at that time). Refund Policy: While we understand things do come up, due to limited schedule availability, we will not be able to refund the deposit should you need to cancel. Should an individual in your party need to cancel, please note that we still require the total payment of the minimum guests required, regardless so you may want to find a replacement. For example: You plan a party of 8 but only 7 show up, you are responsible for full payment of 8 people. If we need to cancel: Full refunds will be provided should parties need to be cancelled by us for any reason in a timely matter Do you do parties for kids? Yes we do! What do YOU want to paint?
H.A. Paint Parties is working to expand our Paint Party portfolio quickly. From now until April 31, 2015 we will create a custom painting for parties of 8 or more for free with a least a 2 weeks in advance of your scheduled party. Just let us know a theme or idea you have in mind and we will create something new for you. Possible themes to consider.... landscapes, abstracts, flowers, sports, wedding, love, graffiti art, words, birds, trees, night scenes, beach scenes, wine, coffee cups, animals, art history recreations, 4 seasons, food, plant life, still-life, fruit, portraits, romance, Paris theme, Chicago theme or other known city. So much to paint... so little time.
