You can't do it wrong!
Welcome to my newest adventure, my blog... Living a Creative Life! I am so excited to be able
to share my latest ideas, personal and H.A. projects, and my thoughts on living a creative life! I hope you'll share your thoughts and ideas with me as well! Art and creativity have always been an intregal part of my life and whether painting, decorating, teaching, writing, cooking, gift giving, giving speeches, parenting, basically anything... I have always tried to put my stamp and
creativity into it. I was fortunate to have grown up in a family that encouraged and applauded creativity, so living life this way is just normal. To me, life is too short to live boring!
Don't get me wrong, I haven't always been successful in my creative endeavors! I have a ton of art projects in the garage I cringe when I look at and I have made a few fashion decisions that
Joan Rivers could have featured on her show to prove it. I can spend hours thinking through the best approach to something and am known to be a perfectionist, but to me, creativity really isn't about being perfect and living the perfect life, it is the thrill of the adventure along the way!
Fear and indecision of making a bad choice can sometimes hinder living a creative life. I know a wonderful woman who lived with a few samples of wallpaper taped to her kitchen walls in the hopes of choosing the perfect one, only to decide two year's later that none of them were good enough and then took them down. While I am not a lover of wallpaper, (a topic for a later day) I do think it would have been better to have lived with one of the choices rather than live in bland indecision for all of those years. What was the worst that could have happened? I think now more than ever, we need to take the time to express ourselves and our uniqueness in all aspects of our lives. Join me in my adventures... risk imperfection, and don't be afraid to fail. Dare to be creative! You can't do it wrong!
